    it's all good
dang internet, can't tell what someone is thinking.

the load started in downtown Denver (literally under the 8th ave viaduct with not a food place within a mile and i'm stuck there for 2 hours wasting away to nothing...........) and was supposed to go to rural Boulder county (an hour away or so) but it just went back to our yard in Commerce city and someone else delivered it the following day.

    who said flatbedders don't back???????

notice there's no crane. The guy was taking it off with a telehandler and basically putting it beside the truck until I could leave.

i thought about it, it wasn't going very far.
but dispatch (and the customer) were pretty specific about it being O/S.

so didn't want anyone saying "hey, why are we paying for O/S if the guy didn't do anything?"

    besides, with my luck..................

Other day 2 trucks passed me at around 10pm on I-59 near Laurel MS. Both oversized, tarped, maybe 9’6” wide.

No lights, no oversized banners, no flags.

Our loaders were notorious for using an old 96" to make something look OS, where it would've fit perfectly on a 102

D.Tibbitt, cke and Oxbow Thank this.

Mississippi doesn’t require lights, signs, or flags unless your over 12 wide. And you can run at night if your under 10 wide.

D.Tibbitt, Lepton1, Al. Roper and 9 others Thank this.

Your closeup pic of the binder, I see the brakes on the axle in the background. Boggles the mind why the govt still orders equip with wedge brakes.

Don’t go to Port of Long Beach to drop without appt. You’ll be there a while.
