With your tractor, you could've gone way more off the front. Is 8-6 ok with a split load?

Used to see dock maker's loads at a galv plant, they always used stepdecks with stuff stacked every which way. Guys at the galv plant hated them cuz they would have to remember how the stuff was stacked so they could reload it. Then I guess they'd strap it for 'em too!

Yeah, i can go between 5 and 6' off the front. gets a little icky when making tight turns (check other mirror, oppss)

you can be up to 10' over the back up to a maximum length of 57' trailer length in Colorado and not be oversize. so still a legal load. so 9' off the back of a 48'. Can do 60' beams totally legal load, just red flags (or lights at night) on protruding part.

SEVEN HOURS for this to be loaded.

    SEVEN

and another 2.5 to get it unloaded.

and yes, the back looks terrible, after a while the foreman and i had pretty much given up and just "get it on the trailer" and i'll figure it out.

    SEVEN HOURS

could have done 90% of it by hand and banded it on the truck and been done sooner than that.

Sometimes when you're doing "cleanup" like that on a jobsite those guys are getting layed off, so they're certainly not in a big hurry...but it sucks

I always hated Symon panels. They’ll cut a strap in a heart beat and if they’re not tight together they’ll move.
