It was a load of car and utility trailers and tied down with 2 in straps, BUT it had 39 straps on it, anywhere a strap could go without damaging a fender was already covered. lol
He was just giving me a hard time because I had bested him, telling him for over an hour that he needed to learn the law, before he tried to shut a truck down.
All that said, the way the law reads, without the trailers being banded together, the load really did need more straps technically.
It all started because I had lost my front half of fender and bumper, so I didn't have any headlight or turn signal on that side. The scale master had me come in , so he could ask if I was going to drive at night. lol, it is january in Alaska, but no I will park. Drake was back in his office and recognized my voice, we heard that as long as I had low beam on one side I was good to go, so I told him I had low, high and my offroad light too. just curiosity, but he came out to BS and gawk at the damage and hear the story of what happened.
He noticed I didn't have a headache rack and tried to shut me down, in the middle of nowhere Alaska, until I got a headache rack. lol
this was just a month or so after they had changed the headache rack and secuement laws. lol

Ha ha, we have had a volvo dealer here for a few years now, and it is owned by a trucking company,
Now that said, there is not one single volvo on the haul road hauling north, it do make a guy wonder why. lolOxbow Thanks this. -

And the fact that all the cool kids have long noses.. lol
Hell I fell for it. And I will be going back to a Volvo with the next purchase.Tb0n3 Thanks this. -
Well I can tell you they have the services and can get all the parts they want. My wife worksthere and I can get parts for my kw from them cheaper than I can at the KW dealer, they just wont take it, same as most other slope nosed trucks. T 800's do fine, but there is lawsuits over the slope nosed petes busting the cabs up and there has only been a handfull of the new ones on the road.
