Just rode 5,900 miles through eastern Canada on a Triumph Tiger 800. If you look close in the picture you'll see the front wheel of a Road King with an adventure bike rear tire

I've got a 2014 Street glide with 25,000 miles on it. all I've done is regular maintenance. Rode Route 66 two years ago through Mojave Desert heat. Bike did great.

That Tiger must be one rambuntious son of a gun, if you have to tie her up like that in the shop. lol.
I know a lot of guys that put quite a few miles on harleys, even back when they were dropping parts al along the way. lol
I read up on them when they first rubber mounted the engine, and went to see about getting one. I ask the salesman if it really took the vibration out, and he said oh man yea, you can almost see out of the mirror now. lol
I wouldn't mind having an ultra classic, but it is hard to justify the cost no longer than we get to ride. -
the Tiger is on a ferry. Practicing securement for my flatbed career

This isn’t going to make any friends but when I was riding a had a crotch rocket and a couple Japanese cruisers. The Harley guys were always friendlier than the guys on the BMW’s and whatever the Yamaha’s are with the square saddle boxes were. They looked down on you if you didn’t have the whole riding outfit getup and your bike was louder than a sewing machine. My experience anyway and two of my uncles are diehard BMW riders.
Gearjammin' Penguin, Tug Toy, stwik and 2 others Thank this. -

Well I didn't know that, When I did run the lower 48, that might have broke me. lol I kept having thoughts getting a cabinover so I could haul a bike on the back. The way I ran I sat a lot and it would have been nice to have one. My wife howled every time I mentioned a cab over though. lol
The harley shop here used to rent harleys, but quit a few years ago, they still rent BMWs to guys that want to ride up the haul road, there is one off the road up thee right now, looks like it burn't. I am not sure if it is theirs or not.
