I guess I'm close to being a poser than... My Street Glide Special that has 1800 miles on it was purchased new by me in 2015...

Maybe not though... Bought my first bike when I was 19... I'm 36 now...

I wish I could ride more, trucking seems to get in the way of a lot of extra curricular activities I enjoy.

 

That, I understand. Folks who are away for work a lot have a special excuse; BTDT.

But if you have a job where you're actually home--especially if you live somewhere it doesn't snow--that's a different story.

(BTW, started riding at 17. I'm now 50 and feel 80.)

 

Bought a moped when I was 9 years old out of my lawn mowing money. lol

I gave my son a honda trail 70 when he was 7 years old, and didn't show him the shifter brakes or anything else, he took off and in a minute came back by with the engine screaming, so the next time he came by, I flagged him down and told him it had 2 gears and showed him how to shift it. He came back and stopped and yelled out out, it has more than two gears. lol

A couple of days later the local deputy was hanging out at my shop and heard my son fire up at one of his friends house a couple of blocks down main street, which was old rt 66, The thing needed a muffler. lol anyway the deputy walked out by the road and was looking that direction, so I told him, don't worry, that was just my son and his new bike. lol He said WHAT. lol

 

My adventure bike gets a workout.

When I came through customs at Sarnia, Ontario, the customs agent looked at the filthy bike and said "you've been doing some riding". Still looking at the bike he said "Where have you been,?" which they have to ask, but said it in the tone of "Where h*** have you been?"

 

Exactly. Granted I haven't touched a bike in over a year. But my last ride was over 2000 miles.
Or they dont want to ride because it's cold or might rain.

 

Yes I was a poser. Purchased this zx14 from the owner of VooDoo exhaust with 400 miles on it. Sold it 2 years later with 1100 miles on it.....

 

Did you make a profit? If so you aren't a poser, you are an investor.
