My bikes that I liked wound up being high mile bikes.
It took me 2 years tf dealing to talk a guy oiut of a chopper built on a Z1 kaw, I finally got it bought and rode it 25 miles home, then maybe 25 more miles total, then just looked at it someone decided they had to have it. I had several old 7504 hondas, that I didn't put a lot of miles on.
I bought a suski bandit with 12 hundred miles on it and doubt I put over 50 miles on, and wound up giving it to my son.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Today I picked up a Howitzer in Yuma, parked overnight to be ready at first light when the escort showed up.
They had me back into a loading bay so the overhead crane could load the Howitzer. I got plenty of compliments from the chief. "We always call Teresi. You guys are ALWAYS on time and there's NEVER a problem shipping a load to California!"
I asked if he had drivers show up that weren't California compliant.
"Hell, yeah! Last year my boss wanted to save a dime and a bunch of trucks showed up. Only one of them made it past the scales. That was a total FUBAR. Teresi is now our priority call".
It looks good when half a dozen matching 389's, all washed and shining, show up in a line.

but it's seriously coolLepton1, Gearjammin' Penguin and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
portable tower crane parts. (not put into a concrete base, they don't have the capacity or height of a true tower crane, but clearly way cheaper for smaller projects). This was one of like 5 or 6 trucks to do this crane for an 8 story building.
Each of those concrete counter weights is like 11,000lbs
yes, it's loaded stupidly. The supervisor came out about halfway thru and looked at the guys and said "WTF are you doing?"
definitely front heavy, but it stayed together, it was locked down tight.PoleCrusher, booley, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
Big money boulder today. 5400lbs and no way the bobcat could lift it.
I was pretty nervous it would bust and then customer would refuse to pay the invoice but it didnt even thud. Nor roll back into the truck. Taking it back home meant losing my backhaul so we did what we had to do.PoleCrusher, Lepton1, Tug Toy and 2 others Thank this. -
