This is my favorite kinda driving. 4 lane interstate and not one spec of light but my own. Rare on the east coast.
Downside is i did 115 miles of driving, put on a load of brick and got 5 minutes down the road then got a call to turn around and unload it then race to save the company from a lumber screwup 115 miles back where i came from.... For less money. Oh well. Livin the dream.

Started the day with 40foot rebar on Trl. Delivered that. Grabbed some slinkys, delivered that, then some 30ft rebar, which i will deliver tommorrow. In a loaner truck, I miss my mid roof already. She should hopefully be done tomorrow. Trans leak apparently got complicated.

I had to work today. I mean actually work.
1st a load of fabbed steel, off to the galvanizer. grab the trailer at customer, strap it down, drive a grand total of about 3 miles, get unloaded.
then drive all the way to Colo Springs (like 100 miles across both towns) to pick up this little guy.
Box culvert (it's on it's side). 12.5' wide, 22 feet long, 5.5 feet tall and 60,000lbs. All the way back thru traffic and construction and fun fun fun.
Get back and they say go to this other pre-cast place and get another preload for some guy on sunday (it's going to a country club, have fun with that). at 2:30pm. On a friday. In traffic.
'
that's 48,000lbs of grease trap right there. (it has a bottom and that's the lid up front). took almost an hour to go 19 miles back to shop because of Friday rush hour. ughLast edited: Sep 28, 2019
