Ive been running well pretty much, rebar load after rebar load. Cause im on rebar duty till coreslab needs more in vegas.

Ran up from phoenix, dropped at Denver CMC, picked up coated rebar in Brighton CMC.

Saw alot of Apex up around there on 85.

Due to the way they loaded it. (Admittedly there was no better way to really load this mix anyway)kept finding more straps to throw. 17 in all between chokers and the various bellys. Learned my lesson last time i had to paint this stuff with the touch up can they give you, its going to Fontana. Normally i i would absolutly always choke rebar with chain. But spending an hour recoating the thing by hand is not my favorite past time.

Shots over exposed, didn't know at the time. 5' over back, 7' over front.

I saw the washington monument yesterday via truck. Hopefully not again for a long time. Booked a CNC laser move for today that wanted 8ft drops. I told them ill do the job but i have triple 4ft drops, no 8s.. They said sure. Weather was great yesterday but its rainy this morning. Think i better find a roll of contractor plastic.

When I was hauling structural, I had quite a few loads with probably 2 dozen straps...Like you, I'd just keep throwing straps...the guys loading out of our paint shop had a "unique" way of building a load sometimes...but I'd rather spend extra time securing the load in the yard than out on the side of the road somewhere fixing something that shifted (BTDT)

Yeah one of those cases is why if I even think for 2 seconds I need one in a certain spot. It gets thrown regardless.

I have worked for hours on a few loads to get it secured to my satisfaction, I have also made them unload and start over a few times when they loaded it impossible to make a trip.
I have even a couple of times when they refused to load it to my satisfaction, just told them to get it to hell off of my truck and let them keep it too.

    booley and FerrissWheel Thank this.

but did you say hi??????????? noooooooooooooooooo :)

and as i'm sure you know Brighton CMC is 2000 times better than denver CMC. at least their loads try to be tie-down-able (is that a word? should be). and yeah, fabbed rebar sucks.

    Tug Toy Thanks this.

CMC Brighton is much more pleasant. Ive delivered there a few times before, first time i got what was coming out the other end. And yeah, considering the order they did there best. Weight balenced out near perfect.

Saw several of you guys, one that I parked next to at Brighton to secure there. Im sure if you saw me you would of knew. Not to many drivers with long blonde hair.
