Today's steel load
guy who preloaded it did NOT do a good job. Took me an hour (at 4:30am) to fix it. 65' pieces (which is O/S).
looks simple enough right? here' one example, there were others. And this is after i fixed it
you might have to blow the picture up but look at the I-beam that is standing up right basically directly above the "228"

fabricated steel. Not a bad load (for fabricated steel). No idea why they loaded it so far back (literally no overhang up front). barely made axle weight on the tail.booley, cke, PoleCrusher and 5 others Thank this. -
I've been away a while. This was my first wheeled vehicle load last winter.

It finally happened.
I actually got to move a piece of equipment for this company. (all i did was move equipment for the first 5 years of my career (not here)).
The funny part is when I get to to the repair shop they say "yeah, go ahead and take it off the trailer"
Um, WTF do i know about driving a zoom boom?
Took me like 5 minutes to figure out the parking brake, but then I got the zoom boom off.Last edited: Nov 20, 2019

Picked this up yesterday in Chicago. Steel fiber on pallets. Going to near the Bay Area. Had a RV Chassis before that. Was rolling nicely, and then of course Wyoming happened as it does. It wasnt actually that hard to slip into the dock, but id be lying if i said there was alot of room.
D.Tibbitt, booley, PoleCrusher and 4 others Thank this. -
