Friday morning 4:45am 10' wide wall to beat curfew (6am to 9am). Finally got unloaded at 9:45. (yeah, it's maybe 30 minute drive from load to unload). On the plus side i read over 200 pages out of my current book.

"A hollow core slab, also known as a voided slab, hollow core plank or simply a concrete plank is a precast slab of prestressed concrete typically used in the construction of floors in multi-story apartment buildings."

These were for the roof of the garage. The whole thing is gonna be buried in his front yard and then he's gonna grow grass on it... IMG_3835.JPG
the crane is in his driveway, the garage is in a hole between the little peaked roof and the house. We do quite a few house deliveries, not really sure why plank is better than framing lumber (except in this case)

well for a garage floor it makes sense. (or roof) you can put a ton of weight on it, that you can't on framing.

that's pretty wild, thanks for sharing

This whole concept of plank in multi-story buildings is fairly new to me. Up until last year, all of the multi-story buildings I had been around used steel decking, rebar and poured concrete...

Coreslab in phoenix loads those like that to from time to time. We had one driver did a few of em. They would always load the 15 wide slabs that way for obvious reasons. Arms on those racks were usually inches above the ground too.

    That brings back memories.

PoleCrusher, cke and booley Thank this.
