    Beware of buying Wy fuel, the fuel taxes there make it more expensive a lot of the time (pump price minus tax rate= fuel cost)

    I know about the one in Laramie. 20 degree colder there then anywhere else in the country come winter time.

    The one Exit 7 I25,.. across from Loves and there is a Flyng J and Mcdonalds on other side,.. thats Cheyenne. Thats another one of my stops out that way.

    What about on I84 Nb heading out of SLC? Usually I wait and get fuel at the Space Age in Hermiston, Or on my way to Wa. But not going that way,.. heading up to Missoula Montana.

    My carrier pays IFTA,.. doesnt care where I fuel. So I look for cheapest pump price that doesnt look like they have water or algae in their tanks.

    Got ye. I have never fueled in Oregon, due to their mileage tax and no fuel tax.

    You still gotta have the permit to travel in Oregon. So why not buy fuel?

    I always get the same permit,.. even though I dont always stick to the route I say. I get permit for Ontario to Hermiston,.. though I may run all the way to Portland and run 5 up instead of crossing up 82.

    They may have reciprocity with Cali and Wa,. but their DOT arent the brightest bulbs in the box. Wa was doing blasting up on I90 by Snoqualmie, I didnt feel like dealing with that traffic, so decided to run i84 across from Portland. About 25 mi before i82 they had a sting inspection set up at the rest area. Pulling in just about anyone who didnt have an Oregon tag. I got the full work over,.. they saw my ugly truck and assumed I would be an easy target. They resorted to checking my straps on my load, when that didnt work they wanted to look at straps and chains in my boxes and on my headache rack. I started to get a little p*55y with them over that. They backed off after I held my ground.

    Funny thing was that when they asked to look at my permit,.. I had an electronic PDF version on my phone that I showed them. They only looked at the dates.. not the route. Considering I was way out of route,.. they could have gotten me for that. Instead they were looking in the wrong place,.. my truck is well maintained. LOL

    What's it matter what the gear on your truck looks like? I have 2 straps now that are crap but they are in my box. I won't use them but I save them to make V boards with. What a bunch of .....

    Tremonton UT. right at the 15 and 84 split. Best fuel prices for miles.

    I usually fuel at the Ambest there, then run to the bottom of cabbage and stop at the Wildhorse, which is also an Ambest

    Is that the casino?

    Guy at Space Age told me they were competing with the casino by making sure their fuel prices were lower. I'll have to check that out next time I'm out that way.

    Exactly my arguement. I can fill my side boxes with condoms and its none of their business.

    I think they were trying to hunt for anything because my old hoopty passed with flying colors.

    If they knew what I really do and how I do it I'd be in big trouble.
