Yes it is. The Space Age is always .01 or .02 cheaper. If I am running east that's where I fuel.

IMO the Wildhorse is a much nicer stop

Dropped 4 of the Cat Skidders off in Salt Lake. Moved 5th one to end of the bed to be unloaded here in Missoula in the morning.

Picked up a load heading out of Salt Lake City. Racks going out to Wa. Going to be a really good week for me.

I carry those. Not the best paying load unless I carry 2 of them and even then I wouldnt brag about the rate compared to what the other guys make.
I'd most likely try to have something on my upper deck to go along with it. :biggrin_25525:

I just wish I had a strap instead of a chain to use on the bucket part. In which I did but it was a 4" strap, just a little bit to big to hook it where I needed too. Upon me driving to the unload point I thought I should have it had it drove on the other way so the bucket was laying on the upper deck, it was kinda bouncing a little bit . I guess I learn something everyday.

I run two 2 inch ratchet straps at the end of beam just before the platform. The platform usually has cheap thin metal foot lips that if you strap down on them they will bend. So I do a cross tie on the beam with each strap coming back to the same side. This prevents the arm from not only bouncing but swinging left or right should the lock pin mysteriously not work. Also,. I have an aluminum deck so even though its strapped down,.. there will be some minimal bouncing that will scar or possibly damage my deck,.. so I always use a 4x4 under the platform.

Some platforms will rotate 360 deg back under the arm. This will shorten the length which helps if you ever have to haul 2 of them.

Sorry, I dont have any pics of lifts on my step. But this was another truck and an old ratty 48' Transcraft trailer. Managed to make it work just fine.

You our don't have to drive it on the other way if you want the basket on the neck just swing it around, it will only go all the way around swinging to one side the other side has a stop. I always shoot the boom out a bit to land the basket on my deck then chain the boom just behind the basket where the attachment point is.

Hurst and Haulhand, I will defiantly remember to add the securement behind the basket and to see if the operator can swing it around to put the basket on the upper deck.
    Thank you...

I moved booms like these for a few years. We just used to put an old tyre on the deck under the basket and put a strap over the basket. Takes all the shock out of it. In Australia we put two 60' or smaller booms on each tri-axle trailer.

JLG dropped the rate dramatically in the past few years, after so many brokers trying to give them a better "rate". I deal with JLG only when their no other option, plus that little hill getting out of there can be a pain with a 45k boom.
