    You will never get in trouble for over-securing a load.

    When they load pallets of shingles, they should always load them so the shingles on the top layer run parallel to your trailer, if that makes sense. That way one strap will cover the whole layer. Once in awhile you will get an idiot loader who messes it up.

    And you know about twisting your straps right? I know it doesn’t really matter when you are going to tarp it, but I always put a twist in my straps to keep them from flapping in the wind.

    How often can one truly 'dodge' a bullet, of 'any' kind? Especially if you've got @MACK E-6 's arsenal. (A bit 'lot?' better'n mine...)

    That comes down to in how many layers the shingles are stacked. Hopefully it works out that the top layer runs that way.

    I’ve heard that about putting a twist in straps, but my OCD just wouldn’t tolerate that idea.
