I missed doing these nice clean loads. Over secured, I know, but I like equilibrium and contained stringers.

I used my brick screens and 4 short pole stakes for exactly that.

Mostly i kept them open in the center for easy walk thru but occasionally filled in the center as a further spear dampener. At first i had them upright in an L on the deck against the stakes. You can also make a really tall dunnage wall against stakes on the front edge if you strap it into a mat first. Lay your hand ratchet straps down. Stack your dunnage as high as you want ontop the straps. Loop the straps and bind all the dunnage tight into a crane mat thats against the stakes. Now lash the timber mat to the deck and the stakes.

I like the screens better.. You can bungee stuff all over it.

I remember you posting that now. That’s what I had in my head. Thanks.

I’m always impressed by you open deckers. When I grow up, I wanna be you.

They’d probably give you the right lane just so they could count all the straps. Nice work. No such thing as over securement.

That’s the beauty of a site like this. Some know things that others don’t, share it here, and everybody benefits.
