We went over to another stone yard this morning. Loaded then delivered about 100 miles away and emptied out and done til monday.

The pallets at the front were so sketch, tiny little pieces of rocks. Like a million of them just scattered everywhere. Im not even sure they were secure. Bumped my tarps up against the front pallet just to give me a little more piece of mind ..

Nice! I like the chicken wire on there. Was that your invention or the shipper’s?

Luckily they put it on . There was a pallet wrapping machine . Like u would see with shrink wrap, except it was chicken wire. Pretty cool stuff, but some of those pieces on the first pallet were smaller then the holes in the wire... luckily nothing fell out in the 100 miles . Think if it was any longer distance i wouldve thrown my smoke tarp over them

I’m surprised they let you use chains on any of that stuff, especially the stuff on the front. Those are thin veneer corner pieces that are probably $5-$10 a linear foot. Any broken pieces are useless. They certainly weren’t packaged the best but that 2”x4” welded wire (not chicken wire btw) does a good job of containing the stone. The company I used to work for packages all their veneer that way for a long time. They switched to wooden crates but only because they could reuse them multiple times.
