    I did pass on the “how to feed the winch” method I got form you to another guy who hilariously forgot to go through the rub rail first, cuz you know I totally never did that before :rolleyes: gonna work on hooking to the frame instead of the rub rail too, gotta roll my straps the other way

    dont worry , every once in awhile i still catch myself forgetting to go thru the rub rail... once u get in a routine with stuff and figure out which way u like to do it then everything will get faster ... and it will come to a point u will be able to look at something and know how to secure it even if never hauled it before... just take ur time with it

    The only thing you may run into is your binder hoot not being large enough to hook over the frame rail, especially on an aluminum frame trailer. If you run into that hopefully your chain is long enough to hook back to itself under the trailer.

    that is very handy for plate steel too if tarping, you can check/tighten the chains without untarping.
