Still hovering between 5.5-6mpg. Engine needs some work. I keep the covers on so I don't have to polish the wheels, and they have valve extensions behind them so I don't need to use a dual got pressure gauge or air chuck to check and inflate the tires.
Also, those covers are stainless steel under all that mud.
Bloomington, IN. Took it to a cutter up in Sussex, WI with a depleted quarry. Called the broker back on Monday to see about running another one, and he said they're on hold at least 2 weeks because the quarry in IN ran out of stone, too.

You could call an Interstate terminal, get the shop on the line, and ask them for the paint code. I think their bigger terminals shoot their own paint, so they should know. That's my plan for when I respray mine. It's actually a really nice color for a company truck. -

If you have any suggestions or think I'm getting in over my head then for the sake of one brother trucker to another you owe me whats on your mind.
Good or bad brother.. I'm open to any and all opinions, suggestions and advice.
I'm still new at this and been lucky that things have been going really well for me. So if I'm headed in the wrong direction, nothing wrong with a little nudge to set me straight.
Besides.... if you dont... I can ban you now.
I wouldnt do that. Believe it or not it takes a lot to actually get banned. They'll probably scold me for joking about it. LOL

Mine was originally owned by Powel Landscaping in Texas. Pulled a 48' van delivering potted trees and plants to places like Lowes and walmart. It was traded in at the dealer and they sent it to auction when it wouldnt sell. Not exactly sure how my carrier got it. Therd was one other owner in between. He drove it for 2 years and it ended up in Chicago were my carrier bought it. And now me.
Mine didnt rattle apart. Though the chrome on the grill was peeling off and that really bugged the heck outta me.
This was my original hood.
Came up over a blind hill on i10 in Baton Rouge. It was on a bridge.. no shoulder or out. I had just put it into hi gear as I was cresting the bridge. Traffic was at a dead stop. I had maybe 150 - 200 ft to react. Tried to put it over the side. Just bounced off the curb and rail. I hit 5 cars. I still have bad dreams and replay it in my head over and over. My wife was with me when it happened. She was screaming. I was empty and.10 mi from my pick up. It had been raining all morning. It was like sliding on ice. Truck wouldnt stop. Then when I finally got it stopped. I saw that 2 of the cars had very young children in them. By the grace of God no one was injured or needed any medical help. I was crying and in tears when I saw the kids. They could have been killed. I was in post traumatic shock and stress for the better part of 2 weeks after. I've never had an accident before that. Almost 30 yrs and that was my first ever accident. I'll never be the same. I wont go over a blind hill or curve any more with out slowing the ## down. I assumed it would be clear. It was supposed to be clear. I never saw any brake lights. Messed up thing is that the people I hit were approaching me and asking if I was ok. I had an awakening that day. I was ready to hang up the keys. Had a long talk with my family. Lots of hugging and tears. Decided to fix the truck and put it behind me.
