That makes sense. A load coming from a lumber broker or retailer could have a lot of different stuff on it.
It's just not something that we see a lot of where SPI is a major player.

You did fine. You dont "need" 16 binders for that load. You were about 40k on that load huh?

Mesh tarps work wonders for that crap. Especially if you're not going far

Probably someone didn't know what you needed, at least that'd be my guess on it. Lot of times, they either don't tell us, or someone doesn't pay attention.

This has been the most I've had to work in a long time. All day and I was only able to get one tarp over the machine and one over the rear cargo. Tarping 50 year old farm equipment SUCKS. But I guess if they want it to last another 50 it needs to be protected from winter salt. Just move it in spring for Christ's sake. Tomorrow means one more tarp for the road. I'm sore as can be.

I’d use the 4 required corner chains on the skid steers since they are over 10k pounds. Straps with chain ends would work to. The mini excavator would get straps like this guy. I would try to run them under the racks though. That being said, nothing wrong with how you have everything. 6553C140-D2C8-4BF9-BF34-E2E554B0A0E1.jpeg
