Well I'd much rather be 9'3" than 12'

Thanks for the heads up. I didnt know I had to call ahead.

I'm still a newbie in the O/O world. I dont dont do too many over size. But this one was paying very well and from this area to boot.

I guess the day I stop learning something I'll be 6' in the ground.

    Thanks guys. Very much appreciated.

If your still near the dealer take it back in the morning and tell them it can't be shipped with the duals on it unless it's going to a farm. I'm guessing it's going to another dealer? If so they need to work out getting paid for removing the duals from the dealer that is going to take delivery of it, that's not your baby.

Its not 12' wide.. its 11'10.

I've run Komatsu rubber tire loaders with a detachable bucket being 9'2 wide through there and rolled in with out calling a head and they never said anything. Took my money and said have a nice day. Same with a few other over size loads loads.

But this being farm country and farm machinery and the DOT out here know a thing or two more about these things then I do,.. I dont want to come in on the wrong foot. I'll call a head just in case. Wont hurt anything.

    Edit:
Ran this one from Chicago out to Salt Lake, no issues at all,.. no permits either. Bucket was 104 or 105" wide. I've done probably 25 - 30 of these 380s and never been hassled.

Last time I was in there they were chewing some guy a new one for not calling ahead for a clearance number.

I'm only using 2 chains for securement. The other 2 chains crunching it down on my deck. Technically securing it,.. but they are practically straight up and down.

I do have 4 independent points of contact. If one side fails it will not effect the other binder.

Yeah,.. I'm not even 2 mi from where I picked it up. Its going to Pape in Aurora. I've delivered some other machines to them before.

I guess it will be cheaper than risking to have to call a service truck out. And/or fine.

    Baaah.
