Couple of 2x6's and an impact and they are off in about 10 minutes.

When we went from taking band duals to hub duals on and off several times a year we thought we died and went to heaven.

will they count since its 2 chains instead of 4?

 

I honestly dont know.

I've never had DOT question this. I just wanted Clucks opinion. I'm never against throwing more chains. I prefer to err on the safe side.

Oh I always "double" up chains. If it's not crazy heavy. 2 chains 4 binders. I'm sure someone will decide it's against the rule. But ya know. That's the way I do it.

 

Thats how I haul most equipment unless its something really heavy or just needs the extra chains to stay put.

I've never been hassled over it so I guess its ok.

not sure either so I just use 4 - 10' chains usually.
