You liking them easy strap and go plastic pipe loads huh?

That little guard rail deal looks like something you would see at a kids bumper car track. That dont look like it would stop a lot of these big trucks I see tearing stuff up.

Honestly, I thought this one was steel. I was talking to another broker and had it in my head I was hauling steel, so when I got to the shipper I thought I was in the wrong place! F'n derp moment for sure.

Yesterday’s load. 27k coil. Broker called begging us to bring it. Said they’d been looking for a hotshot since last Monday to bring it? 27k coil on a hotshot? AB256231-1F13-424C-85A8-191434017E83.jpeg Sure I’ll bring it but I have to charge a lot since I’m not a hotshot? They said it was going to be tough to get a big truck in the door at the delivery.

Nailed it with one little pull up!!! Everyone was cheering and high 5 me when I got out of the truck. Kinda embarrassing actually.

It was blind ### luck mostly... lol

(This is the pickup not the delivery.)

A little constructive criticism here. You might want to throw some straps going the other way so you’re not pulling all one way on that plastic pipe. Plastic pipe will slide the way it’s pulled.

    I can't. I don't have a winch rail on that side.

I have hauled 100’s of loads of plastic pipe on my trailer with winches only on one side and have never had a load shift.

Ancra pocket winches are a lifesaver. Ok, you can use a ratchet strap too, but I freaking hate 4" ratchets.

I usually don't have an issue with pipe using all same side winches, until I do lol. Usually when it's a mixed load or a pile of 1/2" and 3/4" conduit. It's like trying to put cooked spaghetti straight back in the box keeping that stuff where it's supposed to be.

I’ve seen them shift from being pulled to one side. I have winches on both sides just for that.

I have 4 of those, 1 or 2 came with trailer and I bought the remainder. I use them way more than I thought I would. Sometimes I’ll use one or none and a couple times I used all 4 even though I have winches down both sides. They just come in handy occasionally.
