The plastic pipe that is "crated" is less likely to shift but the bigger stuff that's usually just banded together has a higher chance to shift. Doesn't mean it will but it can. I bet the guys that have steel go through the cab when they stop never had it happen before either. Just saying...

Yes! Those are on the list, I just haven't managed yet. I'm also going to install a winch rail on the passenger side. I want the pocket winches for over top my trailer tires.
Here's today. Not many miles, but almost eight bucks each, and got me to the town I wanted to 34 in. I mean, I'll 34 in a cardboard box under an overpass if I have to, but this place has tons of parking, and diesel is $2.53 per gallon. -
That is a nice well stacked mulch/soil load there!
Tug Toy, cke, God prefers Diesels and 1 other person Thank this. -
What’s with the netting in the front? Did the shipper put that on there or is that yours? I’ve always wondered if something like that exists. I mean I’ve seen smaller ones on pickup trucks but never on a big truck. Seems it would come in pretty handy for some of those sketchy pallets we all love to deal with.Tug Toy, PoleCrusher, cke and 1 other person Thank this.

That’s cargo netting over an air freight pallet. Pretty standard stuff for air shipments. Designed to secure stuff to a big aluminum plate that rolls on cargo aircraftTug Toy, PoleCrusher, RStewart and 2 others Thank this.

Air Force load. They use these pallets for air cargo, and the netting secures the freight to the pallet. They can literally "drop ship" a pallet right out of the sky.God prefers Diesels, 4mer trucker, Wasted Thyme and 4 others Thank this.

What wrong with hand ratchets? I carry 12 4” and around 6-8 2” hand ratchets. I’ve never seen anything those pocket winches can do that I can’t do with a hand ratchet, but there’s plenty of times a pocket winch would be of no use.God prefers Diesels, Nostalgic, PoleCrusher and 3 others Thank this.

Not trying to argue, but what is a situation you've been in that a pocket winch wouldn't work but a hand ratchet did? Wanting to know for my own education.God prefers Diesels, cke and PoleCrusher Thank this.
