    Ya east of there, in montana pretty much . that pic was taken in coure d'alane where i delivered . somebodies building a house and bought 5 truck loads of rocks, so one day they could sit on the porch and stare at some big ### rocks all day hahahah

    Padding required on those sharp edges for sure. Do you use moving blankets?

    I use moving blankets. I also put carpet over that on the edges where my tarp is going to be pulled down tight. I've had holes in my tarp because the vibration of the road wore holes through the blankets. Carpet is definitely your friend. I have all different shapes and sizes. I also cut up old straps that I find. That works well to put under your straps as sacrifice on odd surfaces.

    I like burlap as well. Old coffee bags are great.

    Have you guys ever ran route 9 in Vermont? I was going to take it to avoid tolls, but read about it, and it seemed a lot like 125. Steep as hell. My truck doesn't like steep as hell.

    I did one time from Albany, NY over to Concord, NH. It was definitely slow going. Lots of little hills and small villages with reduced speed limits. Beautiful scenery though.
    Next time I'm paying tolls...
