    That wood come out of Burnet, TX by chance? I loaded those same boards to Gardena, CA a few weeks ago - had to get the load sanitized in Quartzsite, AZ before crossing into California, payed great though.

    Yup, had to drop my trailer inside a building where they spray it then cover it in a tarp. Came with a certificate too - can't get unloaded without it.

    Lol....right.
    So......what purpose does the sterilization serve? I had no idea this was even a thing. In my 20ish years of driving, this is the first I've heard of such a thing. I'm still shaking my head.

    Certain types of lumber are required to be heat treated or treated with a pesticides. Depends on what it will be used for as what is required. California is probably the worst for this. It is the potential of bringing in some sort of pest living in the wood.
