Yeah, I'll hover in that range. My determining factor is heat. I can go alot faster in winter than summer. In summer I usually have to kick my fan on manually quite a bit. I need to put a new Radiator in. Prolly going to be a next year thing. Prolly should order it now, so it's here by then.

It was the going down hills at 12mph that got me. Still can't wrap my head around a company that thought jake brakes were the devil or why I stayed with them as long as I did.

I climbed donner with 9700lb going into California. Then with 40k coming back out.
That light load was a pleasure. The 29mph climb back out sucked!
But I wrapped it up nice I think.

25 mph.. I usually drop to 5th when its hot to keep the engine cooler. Im always the last guy up the hill. Even some of the guys running b trains and maxi setups run past me

If it takes him an extra 15 minutes to climb a hill - in 5 days that is not going to make any difference.

and chances are when he gets there, he doesn’t have one of your loads lined up.

And for the record I was climbing the grades on US 93 in UT and NV at 12 mph and going down the other side at the same speed. And sadly for the people behind me they also were going 12 mph. Trips have delays - some internal factors and some external.

    In my defense, I was 190k and 166’ long…
