I dont lose much time running mountains. Most days i can still average 60mph. Ive got it down to a T . Knowing what speed i can average pretty much down to the minute. Post falls to missoula can be done in 2 hrs and 37 mins in a 70mph truck. 168 miles total. Thats still average about 62mph. Thats fully loaded, over lookout pass and 4th of july... its when u get on the 2 lanes that ur average starts to drop drastically. Interstate not so much.

I did the speed limit all day. Pulled numerous hills. Last one had me in 6th coming up to the top, and 8th all the way down. Finally kicked it up to 70mph the last hundred miles in Wyoming. Still managed 652 miles with hills and 65mph speed limit most of the day. Those passes just aren't long enough to make a difference.
