Jesus, those spools! Are your stake pockets on 2' centers? Man I could hit your trailer with a forklift at 55mph and not bend the rub rail. Color me jealous.

 

No they are 4’ still pretty beefy.

You know if I actually knew how to put them on properly I wouldn’t mind them.But I probably look like a monkey trying to **** a football to other drivers lol and it takes me forever.

 

The best advice I could give you is to stand back and look at the tarp and ask yourself the question " hows the wind going to effect this ? And what can i do to keep it out of the wind?" This is sonething that has helped me out alot.

When i first started i used to get so frustrated, because id always end up on the side of the highway in a windstorm trying to fix a section of the tarp. It is not fun . now, i still get frustrated but i havent been on the side of the road fixing the tarp in a long long time because of those 2 questions.... It just takes practice and watch whats going on in your mirrors. Look at other drivers tarp jobs to give you some ideas. We all have our way of doing it and the techniques i use now , ive taken directly from other drivers

 

To add to this good advice, companies like TMC and Maverick have their issues, but they do teach good techniques and there are numerous videos on YouTube that provide some quality advice.
