When you load those in Laredo, does it take forever like you're a reefer driver? Or is it like "normal" flatbed stuff where you're in and out in two minutes?

    TX to KS

Is this securement legit? These boxes are empty. I'm asking, because everyone else was putting a binder on each corner. (four per box) So I've only got two chains and binders per box, but they don't really weigh anything!

Nah they're fairly quick. Only thing that takes time is the loader has to go around and find the machines for your load. About a ½ hr to load a truck is normal.

The reason for putting a binder on each corner is to apply down force. The chain should run down out of the corner, then forward and loop back. I usually throw a couple straps as well for insurance.

I see what you're saying about looping back, but I'm not sure I can make that work in the middle since they're only a couple inches apart. Too late now to move them. I was going to strap them down, but one of them says "Do Not Strap Over Top". Not sure WTF the guy next to me was thinking. Everybody chained except for him. The boxes aren't going anywhere, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't drifting into "stupid" territory with an obvious securement oversight.
