Is that considered "intermodal"?

 

Yes they have been, most times when I have been getting onto us-70 they had 2 state troopers on the shoulder watching for oversize that miss it. They will let you go to the truck stops, as long as you tell them at the scale house so they can radio ahead or they will pull you over and have a talk with you.

 

Got pulled over by DOT today and he thought he had me... I was under the 110' limit for needing a pilot car and I had the proper permits. Five minutes later I was on my way again.... Feels good when this is the third time this particular officer has pulled me over. Checked log book, registration and permits.

 

It's good when you get them where it hurts and when they think they have you jammed up. Good job.

 

Did he measure you?

 

Yes he did. Funny thing is that this is the biggest DOT guy and before I had the book in my hand with the registrations and permits he was half way down the trailer with the tape measure and the book sits right behind the passenger seat of the day cab. When he got to the door I called him by name and told him it was 107 feet. He did not believe me but did not say anything after he finished measuring.. LOL

Don't bow to me, I work for a living! Just doing my job.

 

After hearing a lot of drivers being "dinged" by DOT. Glad your ducks were working.

Time to grab the ride and head to kenworth in the a.m.

 

can u say over kill, did I mention they sent two of the same wreckers. really heavy. LOL. 3k. total of two dollies . picking up 12 of them . not really wanting to see -2° in Ohio.
