LOL... Of course we all know that. But still, they could at least unload it in the next town and do some staged drive-by shots or whatever to boost their propaganda. (Seems like they use that tactic for plenty of other things)

Still a cool looking load though!

Limited range mostly. Those box trucks only have a 200 mile range per charge. The tractor actually had about 5k miles on the odometer. It was being used to pull a high mount car trailer in SoCal where Kenworth does a lot of their testing. Some of the trucks I’ve hauled are actual test platforms, loaded up with sensors and a stack of computers in the cab, others are dealership demos.

Interestingly, when Tesla took their trucks to the midwest they used their standard charging network, other manufacturers don’t have access to the high speed charging you would need to recharge a semi in a reasonable time, for instance Tesla uses two chargers on their trucks.

Thanks for posting the pics, it’s interesting to see the progression of these rollouts.

The difference between Tesla and Kenworth is that Kenworth actually has electric trucks on the road everyday. Tesla doesn’t to my knowledge.

They have a battery with a bigger carbon footprint than Al Gores airplane, they’re built out of carbon based polymers, and you plug them into a coal fired thermal plant to charge them. Where exactly is the green part?

The only trucks Tesla has running are from their battery factory in NV to production in Fremont CA.
