No. I thought they were required but the place they loaded at and the guy training him said they weren’t required but they’ll put a bevel on this set. Supposedly they were 80$ a puecePoleCrusher, D.Tibbitt, CAXPT and 3 others Thank this.

$80,000 coil vs $80 piece of wood
Makes sense -
Securement looks good. But that tarp may get cut on the edge of the coil, they need another blanket, or a bigger one. Just my opinion.D.Tibbitt, CAXPT, cke and 1 other person Thank this.

How do you figure up a cost on that? Call a local welder and get a quote?

No edge protectors, either? The thing about the lumber, though, I don't think comes down to the co. preference, it seems it's more codified in the 'crib' requirement of keeping the coil from being able to roll. Unbeveled lumber can be used with those HD coil bunks with the 3 different angles for the plain lumber to sit in. Plus, there is less chance of coil damage with beveled angle for the wood, which usually also has friction mat/rubber that the coil sits on it helping to protect coil and resist movement.PoleCrusher, God prefers Diesels, cke and 1 other person Thank this.
