Here are some of my most recent loads...
33,000lb electromagnet from the Port of Houston to a cement plant in Mitchell, Indiana. The box on the back is 8,000lbs. of accessories for the magnet.
2016 Western Star Great Falls, MT to Houston, TX. Had to remove the stacks to get down to 14.0'booley, PoleCrusher, Lostkeys and 10 others Thank this. -
Was it the day cab or the sleeper?
I'm kind of stoked to see this technology finally being implemented. When I was job hunting years ago, interviewed for job with a fuel cell firm, and was highly intrigued by the concept. It's a better alternative, I thought, than pure electric, as it basically produces it's own from the Hydrogen and by capuring the energy from braking to charge the back up batteries...but that was, at the time, just in regards to Autos...some...sheesh..is it that long already? 35-40 years ago....yikes.
Edit: Never mind, I see from your photos that they are the Day Cabs.Last edited: May 1, 2022

One oversight, this trip was with a newer vehicle, 2013 with a Carrier APU and 120 Gallon tanks, versus my earlier trucks without APU and with the 150 gal tanks, but I still hauled the same trailers, and the earlier vehicles didn't have the APU, so since the additional fuel (428.4 lbs) would approx cancel out the smaller tanks with an APU at approx 400 lbs it would be a wash and the resultant weights would have still been about the same.staceydude, God prefers Diesels and cke Thank this.
