What a beautiful old Western Star. You got more than your moneys worth of truck when you bought one of those.

 

The old gray mare ain’t what she used to be. That’s for certain sure.

 

I had 2 White-Western Stars. A ‘72 4900 and a ‘78 4800. I should have kept the 4800. The 4800’s didn’t have the big hood like the 4900’s, they looked like an extended hood White 4000 and we’re nice looking little trucks.

Both those trucks are sweet!

 

It’s paved all the way from past the ranges to camp Wilson. I don’t know what camps are farther out there, way the hell out from Wilson, but they are as big as a city all by them selves. I guess they’re trying facilities where people put on their snack bar costumes and practice war with each other.

 

That's what we did when I was a Marine. But when I was there, I swear it was just a PX, cafeteria, and some quonset huts.
