Ya, I think your right. It's better for the trailer to not have all that weight in the middle. It's riding good for sure.

Maybe im the odd man out on this but on my maximisers that ive run, loaded that way feels like i get beat up more (single 45k coil+ point loaded is... bouncier ill grant) but it runs rough for me unless i can take some of the arch outta the trailer.
I wholly agree on a steel-alum combo, would like it distributed that way. -

Quick question for those of you who haul coils-
I see a lot of tarped coils going down the road both suicide and shotgun that have one 4" strap from side to side over the coil on the outside of the tarp. Is this just to help hold the tarp down?
