Don't laugh..... My first tarp job.
8' drops are tough to deal with when the load isn't even 2' tall.

Last couple weeks for me, 300 from NC to ND, 290 from ND to MN, and loaded quad Trac up in MN and dropped it in OK this afternoon.
-
What do those quads weigh?
-
This one was a 580, about 57-58,000

I didn't realize that they were that heavy.

The one I hauled out of TX was supposed to be 66k but was closer to 60k without the duals

Then when I got to the steel mill they were going to,.. you had to unchain them and get in line for the loader to grab them. Well I made it up the hill,.. around the first turn,.. then at the bottom at the last turn,.. 3rd in line to get unloaded,.. the middle and last stack fell off the trailer. The angle of the dirt road had a bump and I hit it just right,.. plop. They just fell over. I wasnt sure if I could laugh or cry.
I hauled 1 more load of crushed cars about a year later. Havent done any since. The oil and gunk left on my trailer etc. Just wasnt for me. Yours does not look like crushed cars. Looks more like refrigeration units or something else specific.
Just want to tell my experience. I hated it. LOL

That load you saw me with in SLC was cloaked with lumber tarps. Lost my new steel tarps.
Found a place here in Tampa locally to buy tarps. $800 for two 18 gauge made in USA lumber tarps. These are 95lbs. My old ones were 120 lbs. Bought 2 new steel tarps as well $575,.. putting them away here at home. Going to use my old tarp for repairs.
Getting my crank and rod bearings done. Should be ready to come out by Monday. I kinda figured he wasnt going to be done today. Killed 2 birds with one stone on this one,.. needed the oil leaks fixed anyway. Annual inspections for truck and trailer done too. Tag registration paid as well. Bank account took a big hit while home this time.
Already up to $12k for 2015 and not even spring time yet.
