Last couple weeks, 250g NC to MN, then went back to NC and got a 300 going to ND dropped on Thursday, then Friday loaded in MT for BNSF and dropped in Lincoln this morning. Now in Waterloo to load a new JD 9620r and head to ND again
truckdad, peterbilt_2005, ShooterK2 and 6 others Thank this. -
I talk to office they send me down to the lay down yard.
As I'm about to go sit where they unload these 10 pallets. He says. "Forklift has a flat tire, skid steer is broken. Head down there and I'll see what I can find to unload you"
I want to do the flat bed shift and slide this off my deck. But I doubt they want a pile of metal and busted pallets. (Kids don't do this at your job, you will get fired). Only done by trained professional (cough, cough)skellr, skootertrashr6, ShooterK2 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Unloading your trailer would have been a good job for 5 unemployed teenagers...... (yeah)

I have to give props to the road construction guys I have been delivering concrete boxes/culverts to lately. The last 2 times I have pulled up, they were lifting the first of 2 boxes before I had the chains put away. There were only 4 of them too. 30 minutes max and I am out of there. Sure beats the 6 hours waiting on another contractor last year, twice! I do not think they realized that they were getting charged for the trucks sitting there.
It is funny how they want to charge us if we are late and make the crane wait but then they do not want to pay when we wait on the crane. -
And my next pickup was 4 miles away and turns into TONU... So back on the boat looking to get out of this town....
Hurst. Can I carry that blade you have... Lol -
Few load I did recently.
.
According to the guy I got these from,.. these were used to make 72% of the worlds Mrs Buttersworth Maple Syrup in Dunkirk, Ny.
I asked if they were upgrading. Said nope,.. shut the place down. Mrs Buttersworth is now made in Malaysia.
Guess I wont be buying Mrs Buttersworth anymore.
.
The tanks and pallets went to Bensenville, Ill.
I then picked up a couple containers at ConGlobal, that went to Iowa.
This is what awaited me just to get back in there. What a cluster muck.
.
Then picked up this Pole in Nebraska, took it to Rio Grande City, Tex.
And before anyone says anything,.. yes I added another strap on the rear.
.
Then went to DH up to Corpus Christi for a sweet $4mi load and they canceled on me at the last minute. Was probably for the best. Load was supposed to be almost 47k. I cant really 'legally' scale 47k. I wasnt turning down $4 mi for a quickie to Houston.
.
So,.. ended up making out ok and picked up some pumps from Hertz in Corpus Christi up to Beaumont. Then picked up this small Komatsu dozer.
Easy money.
.
Ran the dozer up to Richland, Ms and then picked up another dozer from the same place I dropped at.
This one slightly larger,.. and I wasnt too sure about putting this on my trailer. This one put me at 79k with 3/4 fuel.
Heading to a construction site in Blacksburn SC.
.
Not sure how you guys are making out, but last 2 weeks the rates have been fantastic. Doing much better than Jan and Feb. Last 2 weeks have been steady well paying loads,.. even the containers paid very well believe it or not.
Come to the Dark Side Brian.
Be safe guys,..
Hurstpeterbilt_2005, ReeferOhio, Sleepy68 and 2 others Thank this.
