That brings back memories of the time I was "permanently banned for life" from US Steel over in dearborn/detroit area
. Good times good times

Only place I've ever had a lifetime ban at is a bar.
Their bouncer got too handsy, so I taught him to keep his hands to himself.cke, IH Truck Guy, booley and 5 others Thank this. -
One of our drivers got banned for life from Safeway in Tracy. I've known the driver for over fifty years and if he got mad there was definitely something to get mad about.
We were done with Safeway anyway so I called them and told them they could go ahead and ban the rest of our outfit too. Never heard another word from them. No loss to us.Gearjammin' Penguin, cke, booley and 8 others Thank this. -
It’s an 07, 13 speed 450 Cummins that has had some tuning work done to it when it was rebuilt about 200k ago. Odometer says ~866k. Interior s I’m pretty good shape. It’s the boss’s truck but he doesn’t like it. Says it’s too noisy but he likes the way it looks. I’ll be in it till he chases me out of it or buys something cooler. I’ve always liked the midroof cornbinders as well and with the set forward axle I think it rides better than my old 386 which is on the RGN. She pulls like a mule tocke, Gliding ProStar, Oxbow and 7 others Thank this.

Lol sounds like a good story if you care to tell it. I almost got kicked out of GLW for not wearing a mask- it was 90 plus degrees outside, I was pouring sweat, my required hard hat kept falling off my head and my required safety glasses kept fogging up, I'm trying to throw chains and they are screaming at me because I didn't have a mask on.
They make you answer 3 safety questions when you go to check in and if you get one of them wrong you fail and get banned for 24 hours. Happens a lot.CAXPT, cke, FerrissWheel and 7 others Thank this. -
I guess they weren’t ready for it for a few more weeks. The subcontractor who was supposed to handle the load wasn’t even onsite and the GC didn’t want to touch it. I made some calls and they said bring it back. Didn’t really matter to me…pays the same.CAXPT, cke, MartinFromBC and 6 others Thank this.

One of our most hated loads lol, the edges of these cut more straps - just found out we can use metal edge protection so long as it’s SST, I see a bit of fabrication coming lol. -
So apparently they wanted me to keep practicing today. After I got rid of my rejected load I had to go load this stuff for another customer. Just a local gig, but like @Kyle G. took me longer to load it and secure it than it did to haul it… -
I wrote a thread somewhere on this site about it, wish I could think of where it's posted.. I remember getting into an argument with some random forklift guy that wasn't loading me or anything. Claimed I was in his way, when I was following the directions that the lady in the office told me to do and was gathering my stuff about to move out of the way until he started disrespecting me and cussing me out.. Think I made fun of him for wearing a Detroit Lions hat and he took personal offense to it and from then on we ended up in eachothers face yelling every obscenety in the book at eachother .

just a pointless argument about nothing in particular, between 2 idiots lol
then they called into the security gate and when I finished tarping and exiting out, they tell me "you are never allowed back here ever again! Banned for life!"
