2 loads to Charlton Mass today. This was the first one, only 10-8 wide so my permitted route only detoured me a little bit off the turnpike. The second one was 12 wide (which I forgot to take a picture of) so the detour away from the turnpike was much more ridiculous. 522 miles for the day and made it back with 22 minutes of drive time left… DA1AA574-59EC-4B02-9E25-D176596A0A61.jpeg

2DF7E1A9-A9DB-4EEA-BA7C-1C6884F74A67.jpeg Well I did something I swore I’d never do. Hauled a load to a Menards store. Besides the 46k scaling at 49.5k it was a good deal. The two kids that unloaded me were a riot and they even swept my trailer for me. And it was my best $/mile yet.

It felt heavy but I knew there wasn’t any weigh stations from point A to point B so I almost said screw it and didn’t weigh. I scaled at 79.8 with all the axles good. Which saved me from having a heart attack when 2 minutes after I left the scale I was in the company of about a dozen of South Dakota’s finest. Pop up check point.

Did you put gauges on your truck yet? If you haven't, it's easy. Only need two 120psi air gauges, some airline, and some fittings. Takes a couple hours.
