In the future, all dozers I haul will have the blade facing rearward. Problem solved.

I didnt know the ruling for Alabama. Funny thing is today I saw some Hertz trucks pulling steps with some smaller dozers. Each had the dozers on facing rearward. I never really paid attention to it before.

As I said many times before. I learn something new all the time.

Its all good. Doing 2 cheap runs. I just got confirmation 30 mins ago. The broker I'm doing the 'favor' for,.. hauling his cruddy Mack truck to Baltimore for $2 mi, set me up with sweet paying, OD haul,.. very light chiller unit. I wont say the rate because seems people get bent out of shape when you post rates, but this is more than I expected. I hauled from the same place last year when I broke down in Hagerstown and did that run for 1/2 what I'm being paid to do this one.

I may not have all my lanes down, or understand all the little secrets to running nothing but high rate loads. I'm happy with my little set up. Not rich, but certainly not poor either.

One thing I will say. If I ever do figure out how to score some direct shippers paying big to move loads that can be done on my step,.. I'm taking no prisoners. Hows that commercial go? If it fits,.. it ships? Yeah,.. well even if it doesnt,.. I'll get a permit and haul it anyway.

West bound I 20 parked one of the company trucks I drive with for the blade over 8 6". It was a 850 case an a ticket and polit car he was good to go. The outriger & board thing is good to 10 6" with dozers no polit after that must have escort car, trackhoes & cranes over 12 ft must have escort. I had a 12 6" permit on a crawer crane & said to have two escorts across I 20 going east bound
