Bunch of crap.

 

I only carry 4ft and 6ft tarps because I hate dealing with 8ft and I’m scared of heights lol. But I’m sick and tired of booking loads where “6ft tarps is fine!” and then I get this #### that destroys the tarps in high winds. I might fold and just buy a 8ft tarp set and leave the 6ft ones at home.

 

Lol or start charging a bit more to cover replacing your tarps. I’m like you I hate 8 footers although they seem to be the new normal.

I’ve turned down more than one good paying gig because I’m just not willing to cart around those monsters lol.

 

if you ever come down to arizona. you can have my 8ft tarps if you want them.. they are just sitting here collecting dust

 

Are you using bungee type rope?

Yes. It’s amazing stuff. I buy it on a roll on Ebay. I have never had it break and bought it 5-6 years ago and recently bought more. I cut it and leave it in the D rings as I roll up the tarp. My suggestion is 3/8. I tried 1/2 inch but it’s a struggle through the grommets. 1/2 is pictured below but I’m switching to 3/8. It’s about a 1:1 max stretch (so 5 ft will stretch to 10ft). I have tons of pics using it if you are interested. Plus a 250ft roll is cheaper than 2 boxes of bungees.

I haven’t been that way yet as rates leaving there are tough… what part of Arizona? My gf runs a dry van through there and maybe I could give you some $ for the tarps.

 

Im about 40 mins south of Gila bend and i-8, on az-85 . i could meet in phx or gila bend , either one. No charge for the tarps id rather just give them to someone who needs them.. I bought them back in 2019 but only used them maybe less than 50 times in that time frame...ive patched a couple spots but they should do you pretty good. 25ft in length, with the flap on them.. 18oz vinyl

 

I spotted this TMC rig at the Home Depot in Cedar Rapids today. I didn’t know they did this sort of thing, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever even seen a TMC daycab.

Sure was weird though, seeing one of their trucks hooked to a ratty old Home Depot trailer.
