    They run a couple of the DC’s somewhat local to me. Lotta day cab 388 sometimes sleepers. Never saw them Doing the last mile loads though. That was all through Cardinal last I heard in this area

    There is a JB Hunt daycab that does it in my area as well. I see his truck parked at the truckstop up the road from my house quite often. I never see them going down the road though, always parked.

    Have used just plain rope for years. Do have a small number of regular bungees for corners and what not. Have used the bungee rope as well. I know a lot of people like to use it. Once you get used to it, it goes pretty fast.

    There’s a small Home Depot distribution center for flatbed freight only in my town (San Antonio) that I deliver to sometimes. There’s a fleet of maybe 5-8 daycab TMC trucks that deliver to all the Home Depot’s. If you’re curious it’s 10815 Sentinel Dr, San Antonio, TX 78217

    Yeah, when I worked for Swift flatbed, around 2008/9, Swift had the contract locally out of Houston area, that I ran for about a week when I was down that way and we had no outbound OTR loads at the time. Didn't care for it, but they did the DC to Stores route, which if you wanted local, I guess it wouldn't have been a bad gig...but not for me. :)
