No idea what I’m doing. Never hauled these conex. Did I do good or bad? They said it’s 6k lbs. I tried to do it like a vehicle, pulling down and back.

What size is it ? I think on those ocean containers you want to pull from the top and cross chain it downwards onto the deck . those containers have special rules . @kylefitzy could tell you the correct way according to the regs

Securing from the bottom is fine. If they are empty you aren't required to use any chains. Can just throw a few straps over the top and roll.

It’s one of those office containers. 20’ long. So legality aside, if you were to chain the bottom, is the way I did it acceptable?

Personally I run the chains across the deck right at the bottom of the can.

I've hauled a lot of 20ft containers. One of my customers used to use them as mobile office/machine shops/tool cribs. I used to do 1 chain at the front and back pulling straight across and 3 straps over the top for 20K LB containers.

The way you have it is fine. The way I do them is very similar. I run the chain through the big holes on the corner, but I have my chain pulling to the center of the container. Also I don't loop the chain back to the spool like you have I just come out of the hole and straight across to the other side. Binder goes in the same place.

How bad of a hit do you think you’ll take on it now versus last year.

funny you ask that... because i was going to sell it early last year before i got my authority and wait for the market to crash and buy an old pre eld truck... i had a guy offer me 65k last january and i 2nd guessed myself and said no, this is a good truck to get started with since i know it inside and out .. well it blew up on me, literally and figuratively.. .ill be lucky to get 20-30k out of it now. who knows.. maybe not even that much... but its always easy to look at it in hindsight and say i should've done this, could've done that. you know? just gotta keep moving forward and work with what i got.
