If you hook your strap to the rub rail, one side is ok, but the winch side still will grab it and rip the grommet, popping the light through, right? Sometimes there's those loads that need it right there. If possible, I'll move the strap forward to the stake pocket and use a pocket winch, or if there's space use a j-plate, but on a few loads I just went outside the rub rail so I didn't smash my light. My East came with Truck Lite Fit-N-Forget harness, and the lights stick out, so I'm limited unless I want to replace pretty much everything. That said, I'd think even the flange style I think Reitnour uses could possible get damaged? I've thought of getting my next trailer with bullseye lights in the rub rail centered on the spools so they're never in the way, but then I'd really have to watch (scream at) lift operators.

The strap goes over half the light. It has never pushed in the grommet. Even with the half inch sticking out old light. The light pushes in a little but always comes back out by itself. In your case maybe the hole is too big. Or try replacing the grommets. I have absolutely zero complaints with the Grote light. But $10 a piece times 14….

I'm going to catch hell probably, but it sure is nice to see a properly installed visor! Lol

Man I need to stay out of the west. My little 12.7 detroit gets destroyed on these mountains. Last time I take US-50 through Colorado. It’s probably worth the extra 100 miles or whatever it is to avoid it.

I think the bow tie drops look good. From the outside.
Had one on a 379 once ,looking at traffic lights in the hood reflection doesn't do it for me anymore.

Depends on where you start and where you want to go. Tend to run that a lot. Sure be glad when the construction is done.

Small Midwest bow tie or factory visor on a 379, not sure if they make 1 for a 389 cab or not. Always been my favorite visor since I saw them years ago.
