What do they require for escorts on 16' up there?

 

There was 2 loads and we only needed 2 cars each but the boss thought it was a good idea to have 3 each for about the first 60 miles until we got down to Rt 20 cuz some of the roads were pretty twisty. After that it was smooth sailing with just 2 cars each. The last turn through the gate onto the jobsite was a challenge…

Where did you get your rolls of felt?

 

I've acquired my supply from a local rigger that I haul for.

These are close to what I have. Some are thicker and some are thinner.

 

I have a few rolls of the thick felt and it’s amazing stuff. I know of 2 places that sell it. Tri city canvas in saint louis and double c in midlothian tx

 

Todays crappy load. I hate hauling racks and a 25mph head wind blows.

 

Tri city is where I got what I have. I might have to swing through there and pick up two more rolls.

 

It’s the same felt at both places but tri city has grommets around the 12x15’. I bought more from double c as tri city runs out of stock fast. I cut 2 of them in 4ths and use those 8 6x7.6’ most often. Then carry 2 of the full rolls. If I did it again I would just cut it in half (12x7.6’) as it’s annoying it isn’t wide enough to cover an 8’ wide load.
