Lol if I didn’t need to be back in CA I would have. It was a close thing, but in the end the loads I got afterwards made it worthwhile…God prefers Diesels, cke, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this.

He ain't paying attention.
He's too busy processing my sweet corn order.. LMFAOGod prefers Diesels, cke, exhausted379 and 6 others Thank this. -
My first "green load", I've loaded insulation in Moline probably 50+ times and never knew JD had a plant there... Never went that far down the street...
Honestly thought they all came out of Iowa as I've delivered raw steel to the Akeaney location a couple times...
IMT and TMC was the main players loading the combines.
But dang, I'm definitely not show boating but @JonJon78 is sore in all directions from spending yesterday hand polishing the whole deal... With how sore I am, might be worth the trip out west to get a real polish job next time, "C'mon"!!!
God prefers Diesels, DeereRunner97, Diesel Dave and 10 others Thank this. -
I'm sure I'll get tons of hate, but just to give a little insight. I booked this load through PGT. She had it at $1200 on 508 miles 2 stops, #18,000 total weight. I countered for $1600 and max she would pay was $1400. I feel a little good for getting an extra $200 which has been worse than pulling teeth lately. Maybe I should have offered $2000 or $1800 and possibly got myself $1600... I'm doubtful though....
Hate me now... "atleast" it puts me in a good freight corner near toledo.
Supposed the better option could have been loading James Hardey lumber in Peru and sitting there for 10 hours or jerking my meat at independence steel in Marseilles for 10 hours, both need tarped as well...
What can I do?DeereRunner97, cke, beastr123 and 7 others Thank this. -

James Hardie or independence tube/steel.Last edited: Jul 17, 2023

Can't hate, because that's the state of the market. I unknowingly loaded in Marseilles once and lucked out and could probably risk going again for the right price, but I will bounce home before I ever consider going to Hardie, especially in Peru. James Hardie and Huber are 2 companies that are on my lifetime boycott list for ever hauling or purchasing from.
God prefers Diesels, cke, PPLC and 5 others Thank this. -
I loaded at liberty steel last week in Peoria, was very hesitant because of reviews but was literally in & out. Same with the deliver. I guess I lucked out...DeereRunner97, cke, PPLC and 4 others Thank this.

Not much a guy can do right now but take what ya can get or sit at home and burn money.. We all know what would happen if ya said 2000 . They woulda hung up the phone or said they been moving it for 1200 for 3 months now. Or the old classic. "1300 that's all I got in it." Anybody says they are doing good on spot market right now is a bold face liar.. It is dog #### across the board.God prefers Diesels, DeereRunner97, JonJon78 and 6 others Thank this.

I check reviews all the time ... Most of the time i luck out and leave positive on top of 20 1*s
