The place where I work, our forklift looks like it went through worse than those and it still has the protective cage on it. honestly, it’s a piece of insert your favorite expletive.

 

For some reason, the phrase involving a monkey and a football comes to mind.

 

That might’ve been @Ruthless trying to steady himself cuz at that point he was probably ready to pass out…

 

We used to use 2 or 3 forklifts to handle long pieces of steel (plates or beams) I never enjoyed it much…we were trying to load a tall girder standing up once and I chickened out and let someone else do it. Two machines were unloading a truck one day and lost a piece, just barely missed the driver but got his fuel tank…boy there was heck to pay over that!

Hopefully I dump off in Dumbo thursday am and can bounce across the bridge into the lower……

 

Today they are in the shop welding more iron on the back of the lift truck. Enhanced counterweight!
