I don't suppose there was any chance that Brinks truck was fully loaded?

Loaded this mess here in town. Headed to Port of Catoosa tomorrow. Please critique my loading and securement. I'm still a learner!

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

The load weighs about 38,000. I loaded the heavy stuff to the back because I'm paranoid about being over on my drives. I probably should have put it a little farther forward, but it still axles out fine. Maybe it won't beat me up too bad.

  7. uploadfromtaptalk1430268154291.jpg here is some crane mats. Just a bit over 48k. I ran 1/4 tanks to the drop with 8 other trucks that were going elsewhere. But brokers rerouted them to my drop. Ugghh

Always hate them dang things heavy and picking up or dropping always seems to be in a dang mug hole. Then takes an hour to scrap off all the caked mud off the trailer.

ShooterK2, I can't speak for the other guys, but I'll tell you what I do:

I watch for an experienced guy who hauls this type of load often. Then I copy the way he straps down, and add more straps any place that I'm concerned about.

No big ego getting in the way for me (just look at my screen name), and I'll ask a more experienced hand for advice. Most of the older guys are more than happy to show me the best way to do it.

    Hope that helps...
