I think I might be getting a handle on that finally…my boss is starting to understand that I don’t want to work ALL the time. I enjoy helping out but I’m an old man ;)

You leave your normal freight lanes one time... Shower at an out of network truckstop one time...
This is what you get! 20240330_100706.jpg $18 for a dirty shower with an opened condom...

He didn’t use edge protectors he had, the smaller plastic box ones that he had with him. I jumped him about not using them he seems to think they wouldn’t have prevented the damage but I told him that’s irrelevant. Had he used the edge protectors and the edges were damaged he could at least say he attempted to prevent the damage but by not using them it opened up the opportunity for the receiver to say he SHOULD have used them. The receiver ended up taking them we’ll wait and see if there is any backlash or ver it. I don’t have much experience with this kind of load. It seems possible the small edge protectors may not have stopped similar damage. What do y’all think?

I’ve hauled many many load of plywood/OSB T&G and had crushed the top edges, customer have never said anything. Even the company drivers did the same, no edge protectors.
