They're putting in a solar farm at Santa Teresa, New Mexico, so I think they just needed it to drill those little pipes in the ground to hold up the solar.
Got out there and all it was was blowing sand and nowhere to turn around. But hey, like you said, I took them to the woodshed. got 5.34 a mile out of them going the direction I was headed anyway.Kyle G., exhausted379, CAXPT and 12 others Thank this. -
Have a company that runs a yard not far from ours. They have a variety of flatbed setups. A few are with lifts.
One set up is a straight truck with a lift, then a pup behind that. The rear trailer has more like a stinger/crotch tongue connection, not a dolly. They run a lot of pallet products on these.
Know a few of the drivers over there, I’ll see if I can get a few pictures.Last edited: Oct 26, 2024

I have seen setups that have a dump body that fits over a fifth wheel. The dump body has it's own framework to house the hydraulic ram etc. I'll keep my eyes open and try to get a photo.booley, Kyle G., exhausted379 and 7 others Thank this.

Along those lines I guess a truck/trailer combo rather than a semi could work, but I know Ruthless has already considered that.booley, Kyle G., exhausted379 and 6 others Thank this.

i’ve seen those as well, difference being the frame length behind the axles is equivalent on a tractor and a dump truck, and it’s not on what I would use for a flatbed with a moffett/
tagalong trailer will be working with the new unit -
Thank you!
We get into some….interesting places.
Its length, and the fact that I’ve lowered the frontend almost a foot since I bought it keeps a feller on the edge of his seat, with both eyes wide open to keep from tearing stuff up routinely. -
You are welcome to hold the opinion you do. You’ll not catch any grief from me for saying that.

I am sure you probably have seen the company I am referring to. Tramcor.
These have like a 28 foot bed on a tandem axle unit. The donkey sits in the middle of the set. -
Not mine. Buddy of mine at another company having some driver issues. Had this load going the direction I needed to go. Worked out for both of us.
