Been a minute since I’ve hauled any of these.
They do a nice job loading them, but I like more than gravity holding that top center one on.

Out of curiosity since I’m on the opposite side, what’s the difference in mileage between the 2 ?

 

Excellent question Dave. The Pennsylvania trip is the same one we used to do but haven’t for a while. Last time I went was when I wound up in the hospital. Steel beams loaded both ways to a galvanizing plant. If my memory is correct, around 560 miles round trip and at least 13 hours of hustle.
Yesterday I think I did maybe 60 miles total and worked 4 hours. Best part is the load is usually mostly strapped, yesterday I had to throw 2 more

 

First salt for the season.

 

Got to unload treated laminated beams at the university housing in South Bend.

 

Loaded piling near Fort Wayne. Gonna see how warm it is in West Virginia.
